British-Iranian pianist Roxanna Shini Mehrabzadeh was born in Cambridge, England. She began her musical education under the Suzuki Method with Betty Power as part of the Cabridge Suzuki Young Musicians group. In 2015 she won her place at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London.

She is currently in her third year of undergraduate studies, studying piano with Professor Yekaterina Lebedeva. From an early age she has performed in distinguished venues across UK and Europe including West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge University, Yamaha Music London, Chetham's School of Music, Auditoria Joaquin Rodrigo in Madrid, Nafplio Voulefitoken in Greece, as well as venues all over London.

She has taken part in international festivals, competitions and masterclasses with acclaimed pianists such as Artur Pizarro, Barbara Nissman, Charles Owen, Kathryn Stott, Pascal Roge, Leon McCawley, Mi Yi Foo, Daniel Sapiro and James Willshire. She was most recently a finalist in the John Longmire Beethoven piano competition where she was awarded Highly Commended for her performance.

In July 2017 she was a prizewinner of the Musical Odyssey Summer School. Roxanna is accomplished across all styles of repertoire, although her interests particularly lie in Spanish and contemporary repertoire, including Enrique Granados, Joachim Rodrigo, Graham Fitkin and Sofia Gubaidulina. She also enjoys studying more traditional repertoire with her performances of Liszt and Beethoven earning recognition.

Apart from her solo work, Roxanna is also an experienced chamber musician performing regularly with her piano trio and various other partnerships. She is a regular accompanist, covering a wide range of instruments and repertoire.

Zak began playing piano aged 2 with Suzuki teacher Stephen Power and has been studying with Katya Lebedeva at the Royal College of Music's Junior Department since 2015.

He has had the privilege to work with many great artists such as György Kurtág, Noriko Ogawa, Charles Owen, Artur Pizarro, and Kathryn Stott and has had opportunities to premiere several works, including by composers Charlotte Bray, Graham Fitkin, Colin Matthews and Tarik O'Regan.

He has won prizes in competitions across Europe and the UK, including the Teresa Carreño piano competition at the RCM JD in 2017. He has been honoured to perform at the Wigmore Hall, the Albert Hall's Elgar Room, live on Swiss Radio, and in the homes of composers Béla Bartok, Claude Debussy, Federico Mompou and Joaquin Rodrigo.

One of Zak’s main musical interests lies in chamber music, which he has been able to pursue with piano trios and duos at the RCM JD, and at school where he has participated in various ensembles both on piano and cello.
