THOMAS GRAFF piano
|Thomas Graff was born in Cardiff and
began to play the piano at age 4.
He gained a scholarship to the Junior
Department of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama at age 9 and went on
to study with the head of keyboard studies, Richard McMahon.
music at the University of Bristol and received piano tuition from Raymond
Clarke. His recitals featured Liszt, Prokofiev and Ravel's piano works. He won
the University Concerto Competition in his final year and performed
Shostakovich's Piano Concerto no. 2 at the annual Gala Concert.
is a licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music as a pianist, and is active in
music teaching, instrumental and choral accompanying, and performing chamber
music as well as solo repertoire.
He has performed at a range of venues
including the Welsh Millennium Centre and Colston Hall.
Thomas is also
a violinist and a keen marathon runner.
